Steve Tielens, also known as “Flanders’ Schlager King”, will be one of the headliners of the next Hercules Trophies in Belgium (both in Antwerp and Mechelen). Steve got famous in 2015 because of his first number 1 hit in the Belgian charts, dedicated to top entrepreneur Marc Coucke. The song was called “het is weer couckenbak” (honestly, an untranslatable title).
“We are delighted to bring the genuine Herculean vibe back to where it belongs: the famous Hercules Trophy Aperitif“, says founder Yves Vekemans. “The Aperitif is an insane party that starts right after the 12 challenges – and before the actual party. Compare it to a typical after-ski party in the Alps, filled with positive energy after a day of sports. During the numerous talks we had with Steve, we got to appreciate his sense of humor and his unstoppable drive. The more we listen to his repertoire, the harder we are convinced that the Herculean crowd will love him and embrace him as one of them.”
A Belgian camera team is following Steve in May and June. And maybe, just maybe, you will be seen on one of VT4’s famous programs on TV as from October this year .
Dear Belgian fans, let’s create the biggest polonaise ever when Steve sings “You’ll never walk alone”, “Delilah”, or “OMG, wat heb jij een lekker lijf“, one of his latest number one hits (and one of our favorites).
